Juneteenth Community Celebration This Weekend!

Juneteenth is an annual holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States that has been celebrated by the Black and African American community since the late 1800s.

This year’s community-wide celebration, co-sponsored by the City of Fort Collins and local partners, takes place at Foothills Mall all weekend, June 14-16, with live music, dance, art, theater, health & wellness, cultural performances, educational exhibits, vendor market, food trucks, and more.

Exciting New Opportunities for Fort Collins Writers and Artists

New magazine The Silver Lining plans to showcase Black voices sharing Black stories, art, music, and issues in our community in its February issue.

Diverse Fort Collins Update: Week of Nov. 5, 2019

Community members of various backgrounds braved frigid temperatures to attend the Diverse Fort Collins Book Group on Oct. 27 at Wolverine Farm! We discussed our favorite characters from the novel The House of Broken Angels by Luis Alberto Urrea as well as themes of identity and family.
